Community Rides

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

I Challenge Myself’s Community Rides program aims to offer an opportunity for Northern Manhattan residents and anyone else, to use Citi Bikes to explore gems in Washington Heights, Inwood and Harlem.  We also hope participants meet some new friends, gain a deeper appreciation of bicycling and learn more about the Citi Bike Ride Sharing Program.

MONETARY GIFTS HAVE A DIRECT IMPACT. FOR EXAMPLE:

 

  • $25- Bike helmet and tubes, or jump ropes and agility ladders for one class

  • $50- Cycling jersey and shorts for one student, or fitness equipment for 30 students

  • $250- Group fitness certification exam and first aid/CPR fees for one fitness or cycling intern

  • $1,000- Bike tune ups for 20 bikes

  • $2,500- Sixty career readiness workshops for 30 students

  • $5,000 – Fifty fitness sessions for one PE class – 70 students

  • $10,000- Fifty fitness sessions and group fitness certification program at two PE classes- 140 students

  • $15,000- Full year cycling program at one school – 20 students

  • $25,000- Full year cycling program, 50 fitness sessions at 2 PE classes and group fitness certification program – 220 students

IN-KIND DONATIONS
